About Ali Irfan

Ali Irfan is a naturally gifted and professionally trained Bollywood singer based in Princeton, NJ. His talent as a singer first became evident while performing at a cultural event in middle school back home in Meerut, India. He continued performing at local concerts throughout his youth, ultimately gaining recognition for his musical talents on the popular TV program SaReGaMa in 1998. He was a participant in Indian Idol, Season 2, and finished in the top 30. 

Ali is an energetic, passionate, and dynamic performer on stage. His singing style covers various genres, including Bollywood classics, Bhangra, Ghazals, Qawwali, Punjabi, Sufi, and modern Bollywood. Throughout his career, Ali has performed with top Bollywood singers Mahendra Kapoor, Udit Narayan, Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan, Abhijeet, Harshdeep Kaur, Mika Singh, Javed Ali, and Hariharan. 

Ali is an active and avid supporter of community service. He is a prominent advocate for building bridges of understanding, practicing empathy, and celebrating diversity. He is the Vice Chairman of Ibadat Khana, a non-partisan movement with a mission to mitigate social conflict and religious intolerance. He currently serves on the board of Roohaniyat, a NJ-based nonprofit whose mission is to bring soulful South-Asian culture to the diaspora via live music and art. As founder of Bollywood Farmaish, Ali produces, performs, hosts, and live streams concerts, bringing together talent from around the globe. He recently hosted the IFAB awards and was awarded the best tri-state area singer. 

Ali holds a master’s degree in computer science, and an MBA in IT and Digital Innovation. He is currently the Global Head of Digital Accessibility at BlackRock in Princeton, NJ.
